I’ve been soooo waiting for you!  There’s just something about Miss January that is NOT FUN.

She’s cold and dark and dull after Christmas festivities. OK…nuff said.

One of my “sanity” traditions is to start a few seeds on January 1. Every year without fail.

Growing greenery inside keeps me smiling…especially on the weariest of winter days.

I started spinach, romaine and broccoli.

A few days ago I started kale and parsley and basil.

We had some delightful sunny weather yesterday…the greenhouse was like a virtual sauna…northwest style, that is…{wow, what dirty windows!}

65 feels pretty darn good!

Riley came in and sat with me…sun dog that he is…after I straightened up the greenhouse and all its scattered mess that seems to happen every winter.

Today for a bit I could sit outside with Roxie…a cold sun but sun nonetheless…and scolded her for digging into a garden bed.

I can see major efforts this season making small fences for all the garden beds.

She will learn. Right? Right!

Spring in 48 days y’all…don’t forget!

I’ll be heading to the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle next week…I need my garden fix! Ha!

Back with ya soon 🙂
