There is just too much summer fun going on in little ol’ Sandpoint…so the garden was a low priority again last weekend.
I suppose tho that there is a slight garden connection in this post…hehe…with this pic taken of a Super Moon last Friday evening from the garden.
Did you see it too?
Pretty, huh?
OK…now on to boat {fun} business.
I’m a sucker for classic wooden boats…they’re so cool…even tho I’m not into antiques at all…
and I’ve been waiting ALL YEAR for Sandpoint’s annual classic wooden boat show.
Most of the boats were Chris Crafts…
from the mid-1930s thru 1960s. Such beauties!
amazing detail…
beautifully and lovingly restored…
oh so gorgeous!!!
They’re beautiful money pits no doubt…but who is counting pennies…
when you love what you’re working on…and enjoying.
Some of these boats had delightful names…
and this wood canoe was awesome.
haha
I bet this one is for sure a killer at full throttle…
a fishy name…
and how cool are old skis?
Think of all the polishing…
and elbow grease involved!
Yep…there were some fun boats.
This owner must love all things Hawaiian.
The flags on every boat were pretty…
and last but not least…my favorite…and the one I voted for…
the owner told me it took him one full year / 7 days a week to restore this Chris Craft classic…
and what an appropriate name…hehe.
Get out on the water garden mates…see ya back here soon.
PS…I think Mr. Denim and I better finish our wood strip canoe this winter…she’s lonely up there.
Ten years ago we started her…when we lived n the Arizona desert…
and she’s ready to be out on the water…
She told me that.
