Hi All!
It’s now June…still not officially summer…but June still means summer. Am I right?
One of the simple pleasures of summer is enjoying a small town farmers’ market.
{BTW…just a rant here about punctuation…if it’s a market for more than one farmer it should be farmers’ market…if only a market for one farmer it should be farmer’s market…nuff said…I see it wrong often. But it looks cuter as in this sign below..but who am I to rant so I’ll keep my mouth shut}
We go every Saturday to our local one here in Sandpoint.
Sometimes we don’t buy a thing, and sometimes we buy too much.
I’ve bought my fair share of crafts and jewelry along with all the beautiful edible goodies.
Went home with a $5 wooden spoon recently.
I’ll admit to having two of these leather bracelets 😉
And uh huh…one of these license plate birdhouses is mine…in lime green.
It can be a money pit…but oh so fun!
Oh yum! On my list for next time.
And you never know who or what you’ll run into…the pooch on the right is “Liz Taylor”…they are regulars!
Our local farmer’s market has live music while you browse. Kinda keeps you hanging around just people watching 🙂
Here’s what I picked up last week…it’s now hanging above my potting bench. Since it had a crack the gal gave me 30% off… and I like it probably because of the crack! Rustic goodness!
The full-fledged harvest season isn’t upon us yet here in North Idaho…but there are plenty of plants for your garden!
Two tips: take cash in small bills and get there early before the crowds. It’s hard to scootch up to a booth with too many people hanging around.
Make it a point to spend a lazy hour at your local farmers’ market.
It’s even fun to just sit on a park bench and watch it all.
Go! You’ll thank me 😉
