Hi All!
Lots of silence from here lately, I know.
Been busy prepping for winter and snow and cold.
We had a lovely Indian Summer in October…ahhhh…yep, got my flip flops on for a few days again.
I started many posts last month but then would go outside to hang in the sun and warmth…
’cause ya know it ain’t coming back around for six months or so.
That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
OK…but now thought I’d quickly update with a few things from my little corner of the world here:
I’m almost famous 😉
… got my mug shot {well, body mug shot} in the new Botanical Interests seed catalog.
They truly do have wonderful seeds.
And they’re not paying me to say that.
I’ve ordered seeds from them for years.
I’ve been harvesting kale and swiss chard from the greenhouse troughs lately.
The chickens love whatever we don’t eat.
Not sure these Chinese cabbage will grow a cabbage!
Think I’m running out of daylight.
Thai peppers make me smile with their happy color 🙂
Perfect for stir fry.
Spinach and Brussels sprouts and broccoli…
I think I planted them too late.
They’re still babies.
Moved the sedum into the greenhouse for the winter.
Oh my…someone needs to wash her windows!
You don’t see that, right?
A fun find on Etsy…had the perfect wall in the greenhouse.
Everything is in French tho…pretty foofoo, huh?
Mr. Denim just HAD to start on another project before the snow comes…a larger shed…almost finished.
What is it with men, anyway???
It’s always something, right?
…and yesterday getting these machines ready for snow…even though the grass is still green don’t be fooled.
{Well, not my machines…Mr. Denim’s machines…I just watch the fun from inside…}
Winter’s coming!
Have a good week!
Obviously, the answer to “what is it with men, anyway?” is that Mr. Denim does not have sufficient numbers of toys to play with; thus, he goes looking for projects. As you know, there’s a simple remedy for that! Oh, wait!! More toys means he would need to build more structures in which to house them–so, maybe more toys is not the answer after all. Perhaps splitting and stacking 10 cords of wood before the first snow fall might keep him busy?
Hi, Carol…..Me thinks you’ve had a bit of experience with this male phenomenon, too ;). Yep…good suggestion about the wood but it’s already split and stacked for the winter. Guess I’ll have to make a longer HONEY DO list…for me:)
Need more suggestions? Perhaps Mr. Denim could remove roof moss with a toothbrush. Or, cut the grass with scissors. Or, help a neighbor clean out her/his barn. Or, tie 25 flies so he can go fly fishing. You do, after all, have ready access to an endless supply of chicken feathers!
LOL, Carol! Laughing is good 🙂 Thanks for your comments!
Congrats on the photo in the seed magazine! That is so neat! 🙂
Thanks, Lisa!
